Our Background
- Schuler's Restaurant of historic
Marshall Michigan in 2009 is proudly celebrating their 100th year creating special
dining experiences for their guests.
- Schuler's is just one of a select
few currently operating same family owned restaurants in the United States that have
reached the 100 year milestone.
- Beyond fine dining, the real "secret"
of Schuler longevity is founded in their incomparable legacy of warm genuine hospitality.
The Schuler Restaurant in Marshall Michigan annual guest counts have topped 450,000.
- Schu's Hospitality Consultancy Group
has been started by 4th generation family member Larry Schuler President of Schulers.
Larry has also founded Schu's Grill and Bar in 1990 which is in it's 19th year serving
guests in St Joseph Michigan.

Principle Bios:
Larry Schuler
A fourth generation member of the
Schuler Restaurant family, Larry has an official 25 years in the restaurant business
though he has been "working" in the famous 100 year old Schuler Restaurant in
Marshall Michigan since childhood. Larry is President of Schulers Restaurant and Schu's
Hospitality Group. Larry is also the owner of the very popular Schu's Grill and Bar
in St. Joseph Michigan now celebrating their 19th year. Encouraged by his grandfather,
Win Schuler, and father, Hans, Larry pursued a broad, well-rounded work experience in
the field of hospitality management before returning to the family business. In 1982,
Larry joined the Robert Mondavi Winery in Napa, California where he learned all aspects
of wine making. Larry was then employed as part of the start-up team for the-then new
Dallas Westin Hotel Galleria as restaurant manager in three theme restaurants, and then
as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager for this 440-room luxury hotel. Larry is a former
Chairman of the Michigan Restaurant Association and Chairperson of Pacesetter United Way.
He is a winner of "Michigan's Make a Difference" Citizen Award. Larry is also actively
involved in the Berrien Community Foundation and American Cancer Society.
Bob Howard
With 26 years of Marketing and New Business
Development experience, Bob has held executive leadership positions with Kraft, Tyson,
Kellogg's, Perfetti Van Melle, Chiquita, and Luxottica Retail. The world of Consumer
Products and Retailing are some of the most competitive categories in business today
teaching and demanding the best marketing disciplines. Bob has created over 5 billion
dollars in new food business and developed many innovative brand expanding marketing
programs. In 2008 Bob founded Bola Marketing dedicated to helping companies build deep
valuable customer relationships that create customer advocacy and competitive advantage.
Bob's unique and innovative area of expertise is strategic customer experience design.
Bob is also very proud of his 6 years spent during college and graduate school in the
hospitality industry with multiple position assignments with Shanty Creek Resorts,
Bellaire Michigan and Street Scene, in Columbus, Ohio.
